BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge man connected to a 2018 shooting pleaded guilty to manslaughter Friday.
According to court documents, Dayln Hynard, 23, was arrested after being accused of shooting Chavron Johnson , 19, on Dec. 4, 2018, in the 3000 block of Jackson Avenue. The Baton Rouge Police Department said Johnson was found behind an abandoned home with gunshot wounds. Johnson later died at the hospital.
Hynard was 16 at the time of the shooting and 17 at the time of the arrest. He was initially charged with second-degree murder, possession of a handgun by a juvenile, and illegal use of a weapon…
