GoFundMe set up to help family of man shot to death in Baker

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A fundraiser aims to help a mother with three daughters get through the month after the shooting death of her husband.

Gad Davis, 27, was killed in a May 4 shooting at a Baker home on Rolling Acres Drive. The East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office said Davis was shot during an altercation. Steven Berthelot, 44, of Baton Rouge, was arrested in the case on charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder.

The GoFundMe was created by Davis’ wife, Courtney Solar, who explains that her husband was the sole provider of the home and seeks community help to get through this month…
