VICKSBURG, Miss. (VDN) — Delta Utilities, backed by Bernhard Capital Partners, announced the completion of its acquisition of Entergy’s regulated natural gas distribution operations, a move that strengthens its footprint across the Gulf South and bolsters natural gas infrastructure throughout Louisiana and Mississippi.
The acquisition includes Entergy’s service to approximately 109,000 customers in New Orleans and 95,000 in East Baton Rouge Parish. Earlier this year, Delta Utilities also completed a separate acquisition from CenterPoint Energy, adding 380,000 customers and expanding service into 35 Mississippi counties—including areas in and around Vicksburg.
“Today’s acquisition represents a transformative moment as we continue expanding Delta Utilities’ footprint into New Orleans and Baton Rouge,” said Pete Tumminello, Executive Chairperson of the Delta Utilities Board of Directors. “We’re welcoming over 200 dedicated employees from Entergy and strengthening our ability to deliver safe, reliable energy to communities we serve.”
