IBERVILLE PARISH, La. (NEWS 15) — I-10 East was closed on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge just past Whiskey Bay after a crash, according to the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD).
DOTD cameras showed vehicles using the right shoulder to get around the crash, which happened before 4 p.m. All lanes were reopened around 5:15 p.m.
DOTD officials reported heavy backups and urged drivers to find another route. Traffic is also heavier with many traveling at the end of the Fourth of July holiday…
