With the goal of building unity, the 2nd annual (Neighbor) Hood Fest will take place from noon to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Main Library at Goodwood, 7711 Goodwood Blvd. in Baton Rouge.
Henry Turner Jr.’s Listening Room Museum Foundation, fest organizer, hopes to foster harmony “by exploring the city of Baton Rouge and Louisiana’s diverse cultural communities through music and film,” according to a news release.
New at this year’s family-friendly, free festival is a hot dog eating contest sponsored by Frankie’s Dawg House. Ten entrants will be chosen, with the winner receiving $100 cash. Entry forms and more information are available on the website at www.neighborhoodfest.org or by calling (225) 802-9681…
