The last two men involved in a brazen shooting at a Baton Rouge nightclub that wounded 12 people pleaded guilty to reduced charges Wednesday.
Jy’Shaun Mylik Jackson, 21, and 24-year-old Shawnchez Amier Lemar both confessed that they helped sneak a pair of Glock 9 mm pistols into the Dior Bar & Lounge early the morning of Jan. 22, 2023, and passed off the guns to two of their friends. Minutes later, those friends sprayed rounds of bullets toward the club’s dance floor, prosecutors said. Three of the 12 victims were critically wounded. None of the injuries proved fatal.
Jackson and Lemar both pleaded guilty to single counts of aggravated battery, and prosecutors dismissed 12 counts of attempted first-degree murder in exchange.
