BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — West Baton Rouge Sheriff Jeff Bergeron said a Baton Rouge man has been arrested in connection with several home burglaries and thefts in the northern part of the parish.
Maurice Christopher, 28, was taken into custody after an investigation that began in May. Detectives began the investigation after homeowners reported missing items from their properties and storage sheds.

He was booked into the West Baton Rouge Parish Detention Center on multiple charges, including:
- Four counts of simple burglary.
- Three counts of felony theft.
- Felony simple criminal damage to property.
- Criminal trespass.
His bond was set at $95,000. So far, detectives have recovered about $1,000 worth of stolen property and continue to search for more items.
Christopher is also facing an additional felony theft charge for a separate investigation. Deputies began looking into a theft reported in June involving the disappearance of multiple fuel delivery elbows, also known as “drop guns,” from a local business…
