BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge man was arrested after allegedly stealing a credit card belonging to the West Baton Rouge Parish School Board.
Deputies learned that the stolen credit card had been used for multiple transactions after it was taken from an employee’s desk drawer. The suspect, Thomas Cassagne, 27, was identified as a worker for a contracted cleaning service.
A statement from the school board explained that the credit card went missing after a contracted carpet cleaning service at the office.
Cassagne was charged with felony access device fraud and misdemeanor theft. He was taken into custody on July 17, a week after the investigation started…
