BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Baton Rouge is making a bold push to breathe new life into some major roadways in the city, specifically Florida Boulevard, Plank Road, and Scenic Highway corridors.
Redevelopment agency Build Baton Rouge (BBR) is accepting proposals on a rolling basis to draw developers and development ideas for projects. BBR President and CEO Deidre Robert said it’s important that proposals meet community needs.
“We facilitate economic development, redevelopment projects, and revitalization projects, and so last week we were happy to launch two RFPS, one request for proposal on a rolling basis for the Plank Road Corridor as well as the Scenic Highway Corridor,” Robert explained.

According to BBR, the rolling Request for Proposals (RFP) aims to attract developers and partners to lead projects, including affordable housing, mixed-use projects, and community facilities, along Plank Road and Scenic Highway corridors.
