BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A new list from Niche, a popular ranking and review site, has named the Best Places to Buy a House in 2025 and several spots in the greater Baton Rouge area made the cut.
The annual ranking looks at how stable and affordable a neighborhood is for homebuyers. It factors in things like home values, property taxes, crime rates, and the quality of local schools to determine the overall strength of a housing market.
Topping the list this year is Jena, a town in La Salle Parish, which earned high marks with an A for Overall Niche Grade, a B+ for Public Schools, and an A+ for Housing.
