Daughter arrested after allegedly firing shot at mother’s restaurant in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly trying to shoot her mother during a heated argument at a Baton Rouge restaurant.

Alexia Hamilton, 26, was arrested by East Baton Rouge Parish deputies and booked on charges of attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, aggravated criminal damage to property, and simple criminal damage to property.

Deputies responded to Eat ‘N’ Geaux on Airline Highway on July 25 after reports of a shooting. According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, the restaurant owner told deputies she had a phone argument with Hamilton, who was confirmed to be her daughter, over a work-related issue…
