BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A former Baton Rouge city constable arrested for domestic abuse battery with child endangerment has been hired as a Baton Rouge Police officer.
Baton Rouge Police confirmed to the WAFB I-TEAM that Colby Burns started Monday, July 28, and will patrol the streets of Baton Rouge. When the WAFB I-TEAM asked officials at the Baton Rouge Police Department (BRPD) why they would hire someone with a prior arrest for domestic violence, they verified that he started Monday and said they believe the charges were expunged.
Currently, there is no record in the court system of Burns’ arrest even occurring…
