Amtrak, Greyhound team up to create Baton Rouge link to new gulf coast passenger train

The new gulf coast passenger train between New Orleans and Mobile now includes Baton Rouge — by bus.

Amtrak and Greyhound have partnered to bring people between New Orleans’ Union Passenger Terminal and Baton Rouge’s Greyhound station on Florida Blvd. twice a day, with buses arriving in time to catch the Amtrak Mardi Gras, or get off the Mardi Gras and travel to Baton Rouge.

The Mardi Gras begins its twice-daily runs between New Orleans and Mobile on August 18, with stops on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in Bay St. Louis, Gulfport, Biloxi, and Pascagoula…
