WARRANT: Woman shot 6 times during argument; suspect arrested

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The Baton Rouge Police Department arrested a man who allegedly shot a woman multiple times during an argument.

Jail records show Marquise Danell Morris, 28, of Baton Rouge, was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on Tuesday, Aug. 12. He is facing charges for attempted second-degree murder, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities.

The charges stem from a fight with his girlfriend that happened nearly a month prior, on the evening of July 15.
