BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Baton Rouge held a service to mark the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, lighting candles to honor the groups of people who helped during the disaster.
“It’s very emotional when we think about that time 20 years ago when the devastation of Katrina hit not only New Orleans, but it just affected everyone,” said Erinn Gaines, President of the Interfaith Federation of Greater Baton Rouge.
