EAST BATON ROUGE PARISH — A man was arrested on Sept. 1 for multiple charges of institutional vandalism at three separate churches in the Greenwell Springs area and in Denham Springs.
On Monday, Sept. 1, East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s deputies responded to 19421 Greenwell Springs Road, the location of Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, in reference to vandalism. Deputies obtained video footage and saw words painted on multiple double doors of the building that appeared to read “SON OF GOD” and “GREEDY PEDOS!” according to the arrest documents.
In the video, the suspect drove up around 12:30 a.m., got out of the vehicle with an object in his hand, painted the words, and got back into the vehicle to drive away. The incident took only a few minutes…
