BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office (LPSO) narcotics agents have arrested five people and seized a variety of illegal drugs, firearms, and paraphernalia following an investigation into cocaine distribution in Independence.
Sheriff Jason Ard said the investigation looked at several homes on T. Selders Road, which is north of Albany, close to Highway 43. Agents identified three main suspects: Robert Brewer, also known as “Rob,” Gabriel Brewer, known as “Trell,” and Darryl Hutchinson.
Deputies executed several search warrants and seized:
- 19.9 grams of crack cocaine.
- 6.3 grams of cocaine.
- 8.1 grams of fentanyl.
- 40.2 grams of methamphetamine.
- 11 grams of marijuana.
- 3 suboxone strips.
- 3 firearms.
- Packaging material and digital scales.
Five people were arrested on various charges, including:
- Robert Brewer, 56.
- Gabriel Brewer, 52.
- Darryl Hutchinson, 50.
- Samara Rousse, 33.
- Timothy Jones, 66 (arrested via summons).
Ard said that three individuals were taken to a local hospital due to severe health concerns. More arrests are likely as the investigation continues…
