Toddler dead after accidental gunshot at Baton Rouge residence Friday morning, police say

A 3-year-old died from a gunshot Friday morning after finding a loaded handgun at a residence in Baton Rouge, police reported.

Officers responded to a residence in the 4400 block of Sumrall Drive shortly after 7:30 a.m. and found Emouri Woodard, who had sustained a gunshot wound, according to a BRPD news release.
