Narcotics, firearms, and $12,000 seized in traffic stop

CROWLEY, LA. (KLFY) — A traffic stop on I-10 led to the arrest of two Baton Rouge men and the discovery of narcotics, firearms, and $12,000 in cash, police said.

Police identified the suspects to be Denarrya Lathers and Alvin Deville Jr, of Baton Rouge following a traffic stop.

Lathers was charged with seven counts of separate drug charges, one count of possession of a machine gun, for a handgun that had an illegal switch attached, one count of illegal carrying of a firearm, one count of illegal possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, one count of possession of a stolen firearm, possession of proceeds from the sale of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia…
