Texas A&M fans just had their worst fears about the LSU game confirmed, as the SEC announced today that the Aggies will have to play in Death Valley in a premier night game.

This really isn’t a huge surprise, in all honesty, given the records of both squads— most people expected this to be the time frame for this matchup when you look at all the games that are being played on that Saturday. Still, though, the Aggies will have to take on the Tigers in hopes of breaking a long losing streak in Baton Rouge in the toughest possible conditions.
Texas A&M’s game against LSU will be the second half of a back to back road SEC game slate for the Aggies, as they visit the Arkansas Razorbacks this Saturday. Going 2-0 on such trips is an extreme rarity in this conference and is only ever accomplished by national title-level teams (at least, when one of the legs does not involve heading to Nashville— sorry, Vanderbilt, but that’s not exactly the definition of an intimidating home environment).
