GONZALES, La. (WAFB) – Family, friends, and colleagues came together to honor and support the loved ones of Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputy Charles Riley, who was killed in the line of duty on Oct. 6.
It has been a week of reflection for the loved ones of the fallen hero and father, and for Deputy Jordan Ward, Riley’s work partner, who delivered an emotional tribute.
“To Chuck, I love and miss you, buddy, and I always will,” Ward said. “I’ll attend the jiu-jitsu matches, birthday parties, and the Christmas celebrations. I will be there on a random Tuesday when the plumbing leaks. I will carry on your legacy of bravery and honor.”…
