Warren Mitchell III was indicted by an Iberville Parish Grand Jury for second degree murder in the stabbing death of St. Gabriel Police Department Captain Devin Boutte.
Boutte was found stabbed and beaten to death in his home on July 6, 2025. Mitchell, 26, of 5673 Magnolia Dr., St. Gabriel, was charged with second-degree murder after calling the police and admitting to his direct involvement in Boutte’s death.
