Alleged teen shooter at LSU held without bond, could be tried as an adult

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A 16-year-old accused in a shooting on LSU’s campus Saturday will be held without bond after he appeared before Juvenile Court Judge Adam Haney on Wednesday morning.

In court, we learned his crime is considered a transferable offense, which means he could be tried as an adult. A public defender was appointed to represent him during the hearing.

He is charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, illegal carrying of a weapon, aggravated criminal damage to property, and criminal damage to property…
