Meet William Evans, owner of Abat Jour Interiors in Baton Rouge. The interior design store specializes in lamp services and custom frame projects, and the business’ staff operates like a family, lighting up people’s homes and hearts.
The business began in 1996 and changed its name in 2001 to Abat Jour, which means lampshade in French. The first three letters (aba) also meant that the business’ title alphabetically appeared at the top of phone book listings, a marketing win in the good ol’ days.
