BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic (BROC) will no longer have hospital privileges at Baton Rouge General after Dec. 11, the clinic announced Wednesday.
The change comes after months of negotiations between the two organizations. BROC leaders said they were unable to reach a new agreement that fairly reflected the clinic’s time, expertise, and resources needed to provide orthopedic care at the hospital.
“Our goal has and will always be to provide the best possible orthopedic care to patients throughout our community,” said Henry Eiserloh, MD, Chairman. “Unfortunately, despite months of discussion, a resolution could not be reached that would allow us to continue providing that level of care in a sustainable way. We truly appreciate and value our relationship with the General and hope that we can develop a reasonable resolution in the near future.”…
