Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announced the arrest of Troy Lee Garrett, 35, of Baton Rouge, on Thursday evening. Deputies stopped Garrett for a traffic violation on LA 70 east of Paincourtville.
After obtaining his consent, deputies searched him and found suspected heroin during a pat down. Garrett was charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and speeding. He is being held at the Assumption Parish Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing…
