6-year-old hurt after shooting on St. Gerard Street in Baton Rouge, police say

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating after a six-year-old was injured in a shooting early Saturday morning.

BRPD said they were called to the 6100 block of St. Gerard Street about a shooting around 3:47 a.m. Upon arrival, officers learned that a six-year-old was injured during the shooting, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials confirmed that a total of three adults and four children were in the home at that time…
