BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Cooking teams are sought to take part in Jambalaya on the Front Yard as part of First Tuesday, a community initiative.
The event on Tuesday, Dec. 2, intends to bring the Baton Rouge community together to help the youth development program Front Yard Bikes, which started out as a bike shop that taught anyone how to maintain and fix bikes.
Along with cooking teams, local businesses and volunteers will assist the community bike shop with its last projects for the new renovated space, organizers said. Some of the work that needs to be done includes filling garden boxes and painting fencing…
