Baton Rouge church made people feel at home this Thanksgiving

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Inside Encounter Church, the sound of forks and laughter filled the space, making sure no one in Baton Rouge spent Thanksgiving alone.

Angelia Ojea said in 2021, the church held this event, feeding the homeless downtown.

“We work with a lot of people in addiction, those who are going through hurt, have it, or hang up,” said Ojea. “So, we decided last year to make it an annual thing to where we can feed people who don’t have family, and just bring them in and create that community.”…
