BATON ROUGE — A second suspect has now been arrested in the brutal beating and disappearance of 73-year-old Woodrow Vaughn, according to new details outlined in an arrest warrant.
As UWK first reported, Breanna Terrance, 30, was previously arrested and charged in Vaughn’s death. New documents reveal that Edward Donald Hayes is also accused of participating in the attack that ultimately led to Vaughn’s murder.
According to the warrant, Vaughn was driven to the A&M Food Mart on Highland Road around 1:55 a.m. on Nov. 21, 2025, in a green Toyota Sienna rental van.
Surveillance video reportedly shows Terrance in the driver’s seat and Hayes, identified by the victim’s family as someone they had known his entire life, walking up to Vaughn’s window. Investigators say the footage shows Hayes speaking with Terrance before walking to the passenger side of the van, opening the door, and then repeatedly punching Vaughn while holding him down…
