Baton Rouge woman accused of driving while intoxicated, leading deputies on chase with a baby in vehicle

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Deputies with the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) were called to a complaint about a disturbance at a home in Napoleonville on Sunday, Nov. 30.

The ensuing investigation led to the arrest of a Baton Rouge woman.

Kiara Nashe Harris, 28, was charged with aggravated flight from an officer, illegal use of controlled dangerous substances in the presence of persons under 17 years of age, three counts of resisting an officer, driving while intoxicated, violation of child passenger restraint system, possession of marijuana, and no seat belt.
