DA considers legal action despite Metro Council member’s budget help

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – Metro Council members have agreed to contribute some of their own funds toward constitutional offices’ budgets for next year, but questions remain about whether the money is sufficient and when it will be available.

The council’s decision comes as the District Attorney’s office faces major budget cuts that have left officials struggling to maintain operations.
