Community leaders raise concerns over alleged ICE activity in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Community leaders and residents gathered at Greater Mount Carmel Baptist Church to raise awareness about alleged immigration enforcement activity in Baton Rouge, emphasizing that concerns seen in New Orleans are now being reported in Louisiana’s capital city as well.

Organizers said the gathering was meant to highlight firsthand accounts from people who claim to have encountered Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Border Patrol agents in local neighborhoods, leaving many residents fearful and reluctant to speak publicly.
