Cold front could bring another freeze to south Louisiana just before New Year’s Eve

A cold front is expected to follow closely on the heels of a warmer than usual Christmas in south Louisiana, bringing the potential for another freeze to much of the region just before New Year’s Eve.

The front will likely move through the area Sunday night, dropping temperatures across the region and bringing a chance for some scattered showers, National Weather Service forecasters said Tuesday.
