BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Louisiana native serves in the U.S. Navy’s Maritime Expeditionary Force.
According to an official announcement from the Navy, Chief Petty Officer Melvine Golmond, of Walker, was assigned to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron Two (MSRON-2).
After graduating from Walker High School in 2007, Golmond joined the Navy and serves as a master-at-arms. He says his father influenced him to join the Navy since he was five years old.
