BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – On the day before Christmas, volunteers across Baton Rouge came together to help families in need enjoy the holiday.
The nonprofit Redstick CARES hosted a special pantry giveaway, providing food and gifts to some of the city’s most vulnerable families. The organization typically opens its pantry on Sundays, but Jannean Dixon, co-founder and CEO, said they chose to adjust their schedule to ensure families were supported ahead of Christmas.
