BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Baton Rouge General is expanding its health and wellness services with the opening of a new Weight Loss Center, offering patients a physician-led approach to treating obesity and related chronic conditions.
Hospital leaders said the center is designed to treat obesity as a chronic disease, not just a number on the scale, and to give patients more comprehensive long-term care options.
“For years, many patients struggled with weight issues without effective treatment tools,” said Jolie Relle, PA-C with the Baton Rouge General Weight Loss Center. “With the big boom in new anti obesity medications, we now have better tools to treat patients.”…
