Baton Rouge woman turns 105 on Christmas Day

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A Baton Rouge woman is celebrating her 105th birthday on Christmas Day.

Jacqueline Rice, who moved to Baton Rouge with her daughter in 2015, was born on Dec. 25, 1920, in Chicago.

A news release said Rice was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1989 and “through her faith, strength, and tenacity, she has been cancer-free for more than 36 years.”…
