Animal shelter looking for homes for 300 dogs and cats, making changes in new year

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A Baton Rouge animal shelter is hoping to find a permanent home for hundreds of animals and also plans to make some changes in the new year.

According to a spokeswoman for Companion Animal Alliance, there are currently about 200 dogs and about 100 cats in the shelter’s care. You are being encouraged to consider adopting one of the animals.

“There’s something for everybody,” said Jen Hollas, the communications and events senior manager for Companion Animal Alliance. “If you are looking for a certain size, a certain breed, a certain age, we have it.”…
