BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The city of Baton Rouge is experiencing some of its lowest shooting and homicide numbers in recent years as 2025 comes to a close, according to statistics provided by law enforcement.
Baton Rouge Chief of Police TJ Morse said shootings investigated by his department are down 20% from a year prior. Homicides decreased 15% in the same time frame.
