BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — The Baton Rouge Police Department is investigating a fatal crash involving an electric scooter that happened Friday night near Perkins Road.
Police said the crash happened around 9:41 p.m. Dec. 26 at the Racetrac gas station located at the corner of Perkins Road and Staring Lane.
BRPD said a 2020 Nissan Kicks was traveling north on Staring Lane and was turning right into the Racetrac parking lot when it struck an electric scooter. The impact happened in the vehicle’s lane of travel on the private drive, according to police. Damage to the scooter was mainly to the front…
