A pedestrian was struck and killed while walking along Plank Road in Zachary on Saturday night, according to Louisiana State Police.
Leon McKneely, a 68-year-old Zachary man, died in the fatal crash, which happened around 7 p.m. State troopers said a motorist was driving a Ford Fusion northbound along Plank Road near Wilmore Drive when the car ran over McKneely, who was walking in a northbound lane of the state highway.
Troopers weren’t sure what caused the vehicle to hit McKneely. He died at the scene from his injuries. The driver was uninjured…
