BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Two women who were visiting the Dixon Correctional Institute were arrested after allegedly trying to bring drugs into the facility.
According to the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, 27 grams of marijuana and synthetic cannabinoids were found in a visitor’s car during a search on Dec. 23. A package of suboxone 8A and opioid laced paper were also found by staff during a search.
Searches were conducted after an irregularity was detected during a body scan of one of the suspects, Terrionna Brown. Outside, staff smelled suspected marijuana and requested a K9 unit for a search of a car where the second suspect, Tidasha Garner, was located…
