Wilson’s career detour: Heads to Big Easy to meet up with Ole Miss

By all indications, Frank Wilson would have liked to have finished his LSU interim head coaching duties in the Texas Bowl and returned to Baton Rouge to join new LSU coach Lane Kiffin’s staff.

Instead, he’ll be heading to New Orleans where he’ll meet up with Kiffin’s old team, Ole Miss, when the Rebels play Georgia in the Sugar Bowl for the College Football Playoff quarterfinals.

He won’t coach in that game, but he’ll meet up with Kiffin’s replacement, Pete Golding…
