Baton Rouge, LA – The Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections announced Dixon Correctional Institute (DCI) staff uncovered 27 grams of marijuana and synthetic cannabinoids in a visitor’s vehicle during a search on Tuesday, Dec. 23 that resulted in Terrionna Brown and Tidasha Garner being taken into custody. Upon further search, staff also found a package of Suboxone 8A and opioid-laced paper.
The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office (EFPSO) arrested both women on multiple charges related to contraband. While undergoing a body scan, a correctional professional detected an irregularity that subsequently prompted Terrionna Brown to leave the facility abruptly. Brown was immediately questioned by correctional professionals at the vehicle she arrived in.
Staff smelled marijuana and requested a K-9 unit to search the vehicle. Located inside the vehicle’s driver seat was Tidasha Gardener. Brown later admitted to staff that she tried to introduce the contraband into the facility…
