Man accused of trying to steal from ATM at Baton Rouge bank

BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — An investigation into an attempted theft at a drive-thru ATM ended with a Baton Rouge man facing multiple charges.

Arquel Carter, 23, was charged with theft or criminal access of an ATM, resisting an officer, and simple criminal damage to property.

The Baton Rouge Police Department was called to Regions Bank on Plank Road, around 2:20 a.m. on Dec. 20, after receiving a report of a possible ATM burglary.
