BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – A grandmother who lost her 8-year-old grandson to gun violence is calling for community action after another child was shot in Baton Rouge on New Year’s Eve.
Erica Rayford’s grandson, Diellon Daniels, was shot and killed while he was in a car in November 2024. Since then, she has seen many other families hurt by gun violence, most recently a 2-year-old girl shot in a car on New Year’s Eve.
