BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) – The Winter temperature swings continue for the local area as we replace cool temperatures with warm temperatures once again.
IMMEDIATE FUTURE
We’ve got some pleasant weather for early January standards on tap today. Temperatures will trend well above normal by almost 10 degrees after a chilly morning start.
Cloud cover may be slow to clear for some, but we should see a sun / cloud mix with highs in the low 70°s. A southerly wind flow will keep the chill out of the air this evening.
It will also bring about surface layer moisture which may contribute to fog development over the next several mornings. For is forecast to remain patchy in nature and not very widespread Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday appears the day most likely for widespread and potentially dense fog…
