BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — A trial date is set for later this year for Casen Carver, one of the suspects in the Madison Brooks rape case.
The trial was scheduled for Aug. 3 during Carver’s court appearance on Wednesday, Jan. 7. The August date was set based on rulings from higher courts. A district judge was recused in November 2025, the month before the trial was scheduled.
Carver, 21, is one of the men accused in the case involving Madison Brooks, a 19-year-old LSU student who was allegedly raped before being struck and killed by a vehicle on Burbank Drive in January 2023 after leaving Tigerland…
