A CONVENIENCE store sitting directly across the street from a police station has been ordered to shutdown after being linked to 41 shootings and four deaths over the past five years.
A judge moved to label the spot a “public nuisance” after police were called there hundreds of times, with prosecutors saying the business itself was fueling the chaos.
The store, AM Food Mart on Highland Road, Baton Rouge, was targeted in a Tuesday court hearing that ended with the property owner being told to close it for five years.
